About Me

Prior to starting my career in Design, I was a senior auditor for PwC where I led audit teams and had constant interaction with clients. As time went by, I decided that the time had come to follow my passion, so I embarked on my adventure at Portfolio Center. There I gained my knowledge in Design with a minor in Web Design. The classes ranged from web design, coding, to advanced package design, branding and book design. At the same time I attended school I had the wonderful opportunity to intern at Neenah Paper for six months. There I acquired experience in designing deliverables that would increase the interest in fine papers and packaging solutions.

After graduation I landed a job at The Partnership where I produced work for billion dollar companies like Coca-Cola and NCR. During this time I also attended a Masters Workshop in Italy with the amazing Louise Fili, Steven Heller, and Lita Talarico! As I accepted freelance work, it started to take most of my time and Dio Jensen Design (DJD) was born!

After a very unconventional switch in careers, I am living the dream. Not only do I get to work on design, I also get to teach it: I am design instructor at Miami Ad School. I also am the co-president of the AIGA Atlanta Chapter, and a co-founder of AIGA Unidos.

I was invited to teach at Portfolio Center @ Miami AdSchool. It truly has been a wonderful experience giving back to our design community by helping future designers find their spark.
